TEHRAN – A Persian version of French author David Foenkinos’ 2016 novel “The Mystery of Henri Pick” has recently been published by Hirmand Publications in Tehran.

Translated by Sanaz Fallahfard, the book tells the story of a young editor who finds a masterpiece written by Henri Pick, an unknown writer, among manuscripts that have been refused by the publishers.

She tries to find the writer and learns that he died two years earlier, but according to his widow, he never read a book nor wrote anything other than shopping lists.
